Never thought I'd have another baby...
Is
my man potent, or what? He woke me up last night and whispered in my
ear that he was going to be the father of a beautiful little girl, and
that her name was Rebecca Lee Running Elk. And today he
brought home one of those home prego tests? You know what I'm talking
about? Sure enough...
How
the hell he knows things like this is beyond me. He even guessed the
name I would have given her if I'd dared to hope. My man is utterly hot,
sexy, and so beautiful it hurts to look at him.
Our
son is outside playing with a wolf pup that wandered in a few weeks
back. They struck up this weird friendship the moment they laid eyes on
each other. I was afraid the pup would bite him, but they are as thick
as thieves. So we made a trip to the vet last week and got him all his
shots. The pup...not the kid. LOL!
I'll
be heading for the clinic to do the usual prenatal stuff...and listen
to my doctor give me hell for daring to have another baby at my advanced
age. But Mike says this baby will be healthy and beautiful, and I
believe him.
Just
wanted to tell everyone before I start getting big as a house again. I
called Fran Lee and told her, even though Mike warned me that she would
be trying to steal this one, too. She's thrilled for us.
I'll try to post more than every year or two, to keep you up to date on the baby!

Congrats, kiddies! And Mike is right...I will be trying my damnedest to sneak that kid out of there and take her home with me!
ReplyDeleteUpdate on the prego...due date is January 20, 2015. Mom and baby-on-board doing well. Big brother is bragging to all his friends that he is going to "babysit", but his dad warned him that "babysitting" does NOT mean he gets to sit on the baby.
ReplyDeleteOooops...this little one took two extra weeks to be born. But on February 4th, 2015, little WiHopa Fran Running Elk was finally persuaded to make her appearance, and her big bro is delighted! She weighed in at eight pounds nine ounces and 22 inches. Mike says she will certainly be an astonishing woman when she is grown. He is so spooky!
